A hyper-kinetic show of future-forward electro-classical beats also featuring minimal tech house by THREE of Hallucination Limited.Metropolis Ensemble invites you to experience the latest in live electro-classical performance: THE RITE: REMIXED, followed by Ricardo Romaneiro’s futuristic DIGITAL CITIES, journeying through rhythm-inspired sonic-scapes and kaleidoscopic patterns that accelerate into the after-party with sounds provided by THREE.
About the RITE: RemixEDRicardo Romaneiro joins forces with Ryan Francis and Leo Leite to re-conceptualize the most revolutionary work of the 20th Century, Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, through the lens of the latest sounds and technology from electronica. Combined with acoustic forces of a huge percussion and brass ensemble, two keyboards, two laptops, and electric bass, The Rite: Remixed will fuse a futuristic, rhythm-inspired sonic tableaux with a hyper-kinetic visual show. About Digital CitiesWhat is digital? What is real? Their meeting point in sound. Building on a series of acclaimed live electronic improvisations in several cities, Ricardo Romaneiro’s newest work, Digital Cities, elides the visual topography of computer chips and cityscapes through the media of digital and acoustic composition and performance.
