Michelle Farah

Oboist Michelle Farah enjoys a diverse career as an orchestral, chamber and freelance musician as well as private teacher and professional reed maker. As a freelance oboist, Michelle has performed with the Orchestra of St. Luke's, New World Symphony, Ensemble ACJW, and the Young people's concerts with the New York Philharmonic. Michelle has also appeared as a guest artist at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Marlboro Music Festival and Vermont Mozart Festival.

Ms. Farah received her Master of Music degree in 2009 from the Yale School of Music and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Her primary teachers include Stephen Taylor, Joseph Robinson, Carolyn Banham and Daniel Stolper. Ms. Farah is originally from Miami, Florida and currently lives in Manhattan. In her spare time Michelle enjoys cooking and practicing Bikram yoga.
