Robinson McClellan
ComposerCraft Teacher / Director

Robinson McClellan has received commissions, awards and residencies from the Albany, Ft. Worth, and Knox-Galesburg Symphonies, Macalester College, MacDowell, Yaddo, ASCAP, and many others. His choral music is published by NCCO, Church Publishing, and See-a-Dot. Robin earned his doctorate (DMA) in composition at the Yale School of Music / ISM. He teaches music theory at Rutgers and directs ComposerCraft, a course for advanced young composers ages 10-16. He also teaches theory at the Lucy Moses School and directs the composition program at the SMS High School, the only NYC school with a dedicated academic “major” in music composition. Robin maintains a private composition studio and works as a composer mentor for YCIW and Music-COMP. He has also taught composition at Hunter College and theory at Wagner College.
