Lincoln Center's American Songbook presents...
The enveloping swell of Ellis Ludwig-Leone’s baroque pop project San Fermin rises from grand-scale compositions complete with string and brass quartets and operatic vocals. An opener for St. Vincent on the road last summer, the young composer weaves atmospheric scores reminiscent of concept albums by Sufjan Stevens and Dirty Projectors by twining fanciful style with virtuosic instrumentals provided here by the Grammy-nominated Metropolis Ensemble, New York’s finest young chamber musicians led by conductor Andrew Cyr.
With down-to-earth intimacy, sky-high production values, and sweeping views of Central Park and Columbus Circle, The Appel Room (formerly known as The Allen Room) is one of New York’s premier venues for live music. More about the venue
